06:35 PM ET 04.20 | Ex-NBA coach Jeff Van Gundy, mentioned as a potential coaching candidate for the Pistons job, took Detroit's front office to task in an interview on Chris Russo's SiriusXM show. On Mad Dog Radio, Van Gundy questioned the hiring and firing of coaches, blaming the Pistons' lack of success on management. "When the going gets tough, we fire the coach," said Van Gundy of the Detroit's apparent philosophy. The Pistons fired head coach Lawrence Frank after missing the playoffs for two straight seasons. Both Jeff and his brother Stan Van Gundy have been floated as candidates for the vacant job, but it seems like Jeff has little interest in working for Detroit.

It's about time that somebody spoke up and told the truth. That Piston management (Joe Dumars, I'm looking right at you) has ran this team into the ground.
