07:42 PM ET 04.21 | David Lee, who had made the playoffs for the first time in his eight-year career, will only have the chance to experience one game. Lee is out for at least the remainder of the postseason after a Grade 3 tear in his right hip flexor, according to USA Today's Sam Amick. Marcus Thompson of the Bay Area News Group reports that Lee is "out for the year," meaning that he could miss the beginning of next season as well. The power forward suffered the injury in Game 1 against the Nuggets. An X-ray yesterday came back negative, but an MRI today revealed the tear. Lee has had an absolute monster season with the Warriors, averaging 18 points and 11 rebounds in the regular season. Without him, the Warriors will turn to Carl Landry and Draymond Green to carry the load, with the veteran Richard Jefferson seeing more action.

GSW losing Lee and Faried's return to the Nugs lineup will increase the Nugs odds.

Absolutely.

This just went from a possibly close series to a big time mis-match.

Because GS didn't have a kitchen sink handy to throw at Miller....

Duh, he was keeping them in the game, until that injury. Look out Warriers fans - Wilson Chandler was out part of 2 seasons with the same injury.

Exactly - most underrated PG in the entire NBA (Bledsoe may have been, but I think he's not underrated anymore).

I have never seen the Pepsi Center so loud as at that game! I was row BB right behind the Nuggets bench. Seats not as good as they seem - everytime anything happens the entire bench jumps up and I'm not tall enough to see over 7' Mozgov and 6'10" Gallo.

Anyone else getting pissed at these ads above that won't close?

Warriors were never gonna beat Denver anyways??

That's a joke! This game could've easily been won by GS where they (or many other teams) were given no shot to win in Denver. Win that game and Lee stays healthy? Totally winnable series!

Also, Nuggets were allowed to play hold and hack on Curry! Got away with murder.

Winnable series - it was a close game without Faried - won't be the case Tuesday. You gotta be a serious Warrior homer to even think the bad calls went in favor of Denver. That was one of the worst called games I've ever seen - and that's the only reason Golden State was close.

Homer's see it the way homer's see it! Pot callin' the kettle black.....and if you think Curry wasn't held, held and held again, then kind sir, you're a blind fan! Got away with murder on Curry!

Big ifs here (especially now) but if the Dubs steal that game and Lee's isn't hurt, it's a winnable series for GS and again you're just a blind fan if you don't think so! Nuggets unbeatable............dream on pal! They proved it saturday.

Do I agree GS has no shot now with Lee out? Yes and I'm sure it'll be a thrashing on tuesday but, I'm happy they were the only road team to show up in any of the first games!

Don't get knotted - it WAS a winnable series, but they needed Lee and they needed Steph to shoot lights out while defended (like he did his last shot of the night). Curry wasn't fould any more than any Nuggets guard was. Nuggets bigs got raped. No wonder McGee pounded that jam so hard on Bogut and then threw his arm off of him.
