CP3 can't see Bledsoe coming back

06:59 AM ET 04.22 | The way Chris Paul sees it, Eric Bledsoe's return to Los Angeles would be welcome -- though perhaps unlikely. CP3 on Bledsoe: "There's no way he can be here next year because we probably won't have enough money to pay him." ... CP3 on Bledsoe: "He should be a starting point guard in this league next year." ... CP3 won't talk about his future but the way he's talking about Bledsoe's would lead you to believe CP3 is here long-term. ... Bledsoe is under contract next season at $2.6 million but Clippers will certainly be in the market to deal him after CP3 re-signs. ... For what it's worth, Billups also said he wants to [come back] next season, which would again lead to a crowded backcourt.

First. Maybe Dallas or Atlanta can make a play for him.

I'm damn sure interested...

""There's no way he can be here next year because we probably..."

The Sterling is showing some wisdom here by letting CP3 think he's a decision maker. Once he does, Ebenezer will go back to his slumblord ways.

I agree he hasn't shown anything to me yet that he is capable of running a team. He is a more athlethic Avery Bradley with slightly less harrassing defense. Someone will overpay for him though to back fill for a PG that left via free agency. If I had to guess it would be Utah or the Bucks

He's not bad for a mid-level. Jarrett Jack would be nice also.

Hasn't anybody seen a career pattern yet?
Cp3 drafted by the hornets, B Diddy was already their and Cp3 got him traded, became the man.
Cp3 was hurt 2-3 seasons ago, a rookie named Darron Collison played well in Cp3's absence and boom Collison was traded.
Bledsoe also played well when Cp3 missed a few gamed and yes, like Collison Bledsoe can start in this league...
I think we all know what's next for Bledsoe....

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard come out of your mouth. You obviously need to watch ALOT more basketball if that's how you view this kid. The kid is a borderline star on a stacked team. All he needs is the minutes to prove it. Athletic, Strong, Great defender and a solid outside shot. Kid is GOOD.

Annnnnd when he was the starting PG for CP3 this year, he was in over his head. He made poor decisions with the ball and the offense sputtered. Was it nerves? Possibly, but if anyone watched the Clips then they would know he is a solid backup but def not a starter. And, for the record, I do watch a lot of bball...

If you say so son... He is most definitely a starter. A lot of you guys on here are so quick to judge on players and their potential and the moment they bloom into a solid player you're the first to say "I saw this all along" It's obvious he's a good player ready to bloom if given the chance. Only a blind person can't see the obvious.

We'll want him but as a second unit player. Teague has improved significantly to earn his keep as a starter for now (I don't THINK Teague is a true starting PG yet, but he did earn another shot at it).

Thanks.......Dad? If he goes, I hope your team gets him...

Swauny,

No one is saying he is a scrub. I just don't see top tier starting PG skills yet. Could he start on a few teams probably so. He isn't that great off the pick and roll and his mid range game has to improve by far. His defense is excellent though. If he was given the green light to run an offense I am not sure what you will get and that is not the questions you want to be answering with your PG.
