07:04 AM ET 04.22 | A very expensive injury doesn't seem to be growing any less comfortable these days in Los Angeles. With Albert Pujols trying to play despite an injury to his left foot, the Angels are prepared for him to be limited to designated hitter for an extended period of time. "I'm dying," Pujols said Sunday. "It's hurting real bad." Pujols started at DH for the fourth consecutive game Sunday, and he now has started more games at DH than at first base. ... The most effective treatment can be to stay off the foot -- in the case of a baseball player, a stint on the disabled list to let the inflammation subside. Jerry Dipoto, the Angels' general manager, said the team hopes to manage the injury through treatment.

Isn't this the third or fourth thread that Fannation World has put on about this specific malady that ails Pujols? There is no other sports news worth talking about except Pujols, his hurt foot and being a DH? C'mon.

For instance instead of burying a thread on the weeknd about Ortiz and his use of the word "****" in front of Red Sox Nation as well as the rest of the cable-ised nation we have a redundant rehashment of another Pujols DH thread.

And for the record: I think Ortiz summed up what everyone, and not just Boston, was feeling, and, he said what needed to be said in words that got eveyone's attention.

It's interesting - I have heard some (a very few) that feel the word wasn't necessary - especially in front of a "family friendly" audience. And I think there is some credence to this - how much profanity has become accepted. Now that being said - there have been some very particular instances where a precise use of profanity - punctuates the situation to get the point across. I hate profanity for profanity's sake. Why use it. But the appropriate application at the right place and right time - brings the point home. I am of the mind that in this particular case - it was appropriate - but do have mixed feelings due to the audience.

Already know it.... Including his extended list......

Just like what Quigley said in the Quigley Down Under..... "When I said I didn't have much use for a hogleg, that didn't mean I didn't know how to use one".......

did you also know that the seven words were the exact same seven words that Lenny Bruce once said (in alphabetical order) on stage and that he said were the reason he was once arrested for and charged with indecency?

I also remember the rules for movies that if someone was in bed together - they had to keep a foot on the floor to keep it "appropriate". Its' why all the TV shows showed husband and wives having separate beds.....

Or even the blue laws. 1982 in Missouri.... only some restaurants were allowed to be open on Sundays. I think the laws were repealed in the mid 80's....

Interesting - some say that the Blue Laws in MO were repealed earlier - yet I distinctly remember all but a few restaurants being closed on Sundays - by law until a couple of years after I moved there in 1982..... Hmmmmmm......

It's not fun. I wear arch supports now to prevent it from coming back.
