12:52 PM ET 04.22 | Defenseman Zach Redmond has certainly put together an inspiring season. After nearly dying on the ice on Feb. 21 when his leg was cut by a teammate's skate blade, Redmond has now been recalled from the AHL after a short conditioning assignment. Redmond had two assists in two games with St. John's, and returns to the NHL just two months since doctors declared he "might" be ready for the NHL's training camp int he fall.

More importantly for the Jets, no Zach Bogosian means no playoff spot...

Bogosian is very good and is going to get better. He is also a RFA next year. Do the Jets give him the 6yr $6mil per or do they do what the Canadiens did with Subban. It will be interesting to see which way they go.

Tough call...still only 22 and like you said, he'll only get better.

Wouldn't surprise me if someone throws an offer his way...

Never thought about the dreaded offer sheet I hate them. I think the Jets will bite the bullet and offer him a long term big money deal.

Smart thing to do. You know what to expect from him every night...whereas a guy like Byfuglien often times forgets that he's playing the point. Jets are pretty thin on the back end so locking him up long term makes sense.

Get him locked up long long term is the smart thing to do. On Buff he has the size and has shown the abilty to be a real asset but he doesn't show up near enough. He reminds a bit of Penner in that regard.

He's more effective as a forward. He drove the Canucks up the wall during the playoffs...maybe if Trouba works out, the Jets can move Buff back up front, adding some much needed size as well.
