"As Auburn's Athletics Director, it's my job - no matter how proud I am of Auburn - to carefully review charges made against our program when warranted," Jacobs said. "As the facts demonstrate, the article is clearly flawed. I want you to know that I will always act on the basis of facts. I will continue to fight for Auburn University, and I will continue to defend this great institution against such attacks."

Jacobs' statement was followed by point-by-point refutations of various point in Roberts' story, such as running back Michael Dyer's academic record, changed grades for linebacker Mike McNeil, money given to top recruit Dre Kilpatrick, and whether or not the school allowed Kilpatrick to transfer freely after his departure from Auburn.

We did an internal investigation and are proud to report we did nothing wrong.

In other news, the two kids that bombed Boston's mother says they didn't do it. Ted Bundy's family did an investigation of all those murders and decided Ted was innocent, Jeffrey Dahmer's family still claims that it was a pork tenderloin cooking on the stove, and John Allen Muhammad's family still says he was just out hunting....

Dre KIRKpatrick was never with auburn and did not have to transfer. And they need to stop using Dre's name. How would he have even known if current auburn players were given money to entertain him.

In other news... The family of Jerry Sandusky have concluded an internal investigation into the charges against Jerry Sandusky. They have concluded that all the charges are bogus and listed one by one the names of the boys making the accusations, and called them all whiny cry babies. The spokesman said that they would continue to do whatever was necessary to protect Jerry Sandusky.
