05:00 PM ET 04.22 | Finally, the Boston Celtics' lack of a true point guard is coming back to bite them. At least, it did Saturday when the New York Knicks opened the first round of the playoffs with an 85-78 victory against Doc Rivers' team. With Avery Bradley acting as point guard, the Celtics' offense cramped in the second half to score 17 points in the third quarter and just eight in the fourth. Paul Pierce said afterward that Boston will need to force-feed the offense through forward Kevin Garnett, who went 4-for-12 from the field in the Game 1 loss and scored only eight points. "Doc said he wants Kevin to be aggressive, he wants him to take 20 shots, but even when we run plays for Kevin, he's so responsible that he's going to find the open man and be responsible with the ball," Pierce said.
