Up-tempo game gets Wallace going

05:02 PM ET 04.22 | Putting up a laughable 60-35 halftime advantage isn't something the Brooklyn Nets expect to do against the Chicago Bulls again. What they do expect is the Bulls to come out swinging in Game 2. But in that high-scoring first half to open their first round series, the Nets did find comfort running and gunning to break out of the vicegrips of Chicago's usually-disruptive defense. It especially helped forward Gerald Wallace get out of a funk. He was shooting 33 percent and averaging just more than two points per game in six April games, but against the Bulls he scored 14 points, grabbed six rebounds and had two blocks. Credit the tempo, said Nets point guard Deron Williams. "It suits me, it suits him, it suits a lot of our guys," Williams said. "I think we got to get him more involved, get up and down and not let them set up [on defense] and get him out in transition where he can be active."
