05:46 PM ET 04.22 | Tennessee Titans quarterback Jake Locker is recovering from shoulder surgery and will take part in the Titans' June workouts according to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean. Locker dislocated his non-throwing shoulder twice in Sept. 2012, causing him to miss five games. He had surgery on the shoulder following the season. Locker has been cleared to throw and "do everything but get hit" according to Wyatt and is on pace to be fully ready before the start of training camp. Last season Locker started 11 games for the Titans and threw for 2,176 yards, 10 touchdowns and 11 interceptions while completing 56.4 percent of his passes; he also ran 41 times for 291 yards and a touchdown.

QUOTE(#1):

Shoulders are tough to come back from, Drew Brees being the exception.

Too true. It's a shame, too, because Locker could do well right now, being a mobile quarterback. He has the tools, he just needs to learn to make better decisions. Might not get the chance, though. Every hit's going to hurt bad. The Titans' line kept the QBs pretty clean last season, but the line's changed a bit, and may change more on draft day, so he may get hit a lot more next year.

The line has changed for the better on the Titans and there is no reason to expect a degradation in protection, quite the opposite should be true. Jake needs to get the accuracy issues fixed more than anything. That and staying on the field of course. Being fragile in the NFL isn't conducive to a long career.
