Revis says Jets lied to him

06:48 AM ET 04.23 | According to Darrelle Revis, he hadn't met new Jets general manager John Idzik until just this past week. He called it more of an introduction than anything, but Revis said that Idzik told him that the Jets wanted him to remain on the roster. That was his understanding despite months of trade rumors. Of course, he is now with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. ... Revis said he was ready to move on, but did add that he didn't feel Idzik was being straight with him. "I felt that type of vibe that they weren't truthful," Revis said. "I don't feel anything, I mean it's over. It happened. You have to move on it's a new chapter in my life." Obviously, it would not be in the Jets best interest to tell Revis he was being dealt.

Revis would do well to concentrate on getting in shape and playing football rather than talking about it. He's only making himself look small by saying anything.

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of The Jets and Darrell Revis..........(Man this drama is getting sickening).........Who cares? He doesn't play for them anymore. It's over!

Get the feeling we aren't quite done with this yet?

No doubt about it. A Diva player and a Diva organization. A match made in hell and good for a story a day for two weeks straight. (puke)

Revis said that Idzik told him that the Jets wanted him to remain on the roster.

He could have been telling the truth... only a half truth

If I were the Jets I'd want Revis to remain on the roster too but it made more sense to trade him.

Revis knows how the game goes... Hell he holds out, despite his word too.

Please spare us these two jaded parties.

April 23, 2013  08:04 AM ET

Revis has a better opportunity at winning something in Tampa Bay than he did with the Jets anyway. (not notably better, but he's lucky they traded him)

Syonyra Darrelle, take the press with you!!!!

Revis wouldn't know the truth if it ran right over him and scored a touchdown.

I know the 3 teams in the NFC South I'll be rooting for this season.

This could be very good entertainment. With no guaranteed money in his contract, it will be interesting to see how he reacts when they run the ball to his side and some TE is out to block him, or a big back running right at him.

He never liked the physical part of the game before, he just might run into the stands now. He can cover all right, but I would run at him - a lot.

That works. It could get interesting. Honestly though, did he lie when he said he wanted to play his whole career in NY but would not lower his demands?

Is it a lie when a team says they want to keep you, but will not over pay to do it?

I bet Darrelle is going to love living in small market Tampa where his every utterance isn't going to make the national news.

The headlines I see for him will come after he ole's on a few running backs that he decides to make a 'business decision' on and gets into the coach's dog house. He doesn't fit that tough guy image Schiano is trying to build down there.
