04:31 PM ET 04.24 | TNT analyst Charles Barkley has often times commented about one day becoming an NBA general manager. It's hard to say how serious he is about the prospect. So with Barkley's former team, the Phoenix Suns, parting ways with general manager Lance Blanks this week, one position opened up. Now, if Barkley would be willing to return to Phoenix where he still lives, is one thing considering he's been a harsh critic of the Suns. If the Suns are willing to even extend an invitation is another thing. President of basketball operations Lon Babby said on Tuesday the team would consider all candidates, but the man they choose will likely be a solid candidate that has front office experience. "I think the job requires rowing the boat every single day and it's an all-consuming job and my impression is that he has a pretty full and good life," Babby said. "Taking on a challenge like this might be something he really doesn't want if he knew what it entails."

The Sun's might as well give the team over to Barkley to run and see what happens. The owner Robert Sarver has run that team into the ground. So seeing Barkley in the GM seat might be more fun to watch then the players playing on the court.

They should interview me for the job...I'm not qualified at all, but I am pretty sure that I could do better than the guy who put this year's squad together.

He's an idiot. I hope they do hire him so he can have the opportunity to show everyone just how big of an idiot he is.
