02:14 PM ET 04.25 | Ottawa Senators defenseman Erik Karlsson will return to the lineup against the Washington Capitals on Thursday night, the team announced Thursday. Karlsson has missed 31 games since having 70 percent of his Achilles Tendon lacerated on Feb. 13 in a game against the Pittsburgh Penguins. It was believed that his season was over. However, Karlsson has rapidly progressed through his rehabilitation and has managed to defy the original time-table fo six months. It remains to be seen how involved head coach Paul MacLean plans to make Karlsson.

I'll say it again...I hope it isn't too soon. It was a heck of an injury, and this some rapid recovery

I'll try this again, the 1st one didn't take. (must have been reported by some slob)
i hope this isn't too soon. This was a tough injury, and rushing a kid back could ruin the rest of his career if he isn't really ready

+1000 I couldn't agree more Spiny...they should have given him more time..if he gets messed up now they're going to regret this for a long time...I know the kid wants to play but risking your whole future for getting back early is not smart long term...someone on the Sens management needs to stand up and say "we're not putting him in the lineup"

+10000. Unless they go on a Kings-ransom-roll like last year why risk the future for just a round or two this year.

I'd let him rest up, keep skating on his own, and make 200% sure his is healthy

Careful Spiny, you never know when the unbalanced are lurking. :)

Cooke will take care of it no time.

JK.

I agree, hope it isn't too early, but if they/he say(s) he can play...

right, because team management would never put the immediate (read $) needs above those of a young player

Randy ought to call you up to add toughness to the bench, DL. If Steckel was still here he could give an incidental contact check. :-)
