07:04 AM ET 04.26 | University of Miami coach Al Golden took the occasion of an ACC conference call to announce the program's plans for linebacker Gabe Terry. [Golden said Terry] has been kicked off the team in the wake of his arrest last Friday on charges of felony marijuana possession. He had five tackles in seven games as a freshman last season, and the coaching staff expected him to contribute this fall. "He was suspended before the incident," Golden said. "We've separated and are going in another direction." Terry is the third linebacker to leave the team since the end of the season. UM previously parted ways with Eddie Johnson and Gionni Paul, who also had off-field issues.

Run a clean program, Al. Miami's past troubles should not become your own.

Terry. Johnson. Paul. All IDIOTS.

Agree; Golden is the real deal and has an enormous task in trying to change the culture of that program.
Let's hope both he and the Administration (and the Alums) have the patience to stick it out.

Hey! How did UF miss on this guy and let him sign with da U, with his apparent penchant for herbage? That's our turf. Can't believe we let one get away!

If you get kicked off another team for weed violations, do you go to UF automatically? Isn't it like a Florida Dept. of Corrections diversion program?

Well at least they are getting rid of people with rap sheets instead of recruiting them. It's progress.
