07:07 AM ET 04.26 | When the Avalanche play Phoenix Friday night, Milan Hejduk won't be in the lineup. But he will play in Saturday's season finale at the Pepsi Center against Minnesota, in what is expected to be his last game in an Avalanche uniform. Hejduk, 37, has not made that official, but all signs point to this being the end for the classy right winger. Avalanche coach Joe Sacco said he hasn't played Hejduk as much recently because he wants to see what some other younger players can do, and that applies to Friday's game against the Coyotes. But he said Hejduk will suit up for sure Saturday. "If you look at Milan being available the last little while, it's solely based on giving some other players an opportunity," Sacco said.

With the cap cuts you wonder how many others will be joining him?

When you're done ... you're done. No point in hanging around longer than you have to and embarrassing yourself like Ryan Smyth has done in Edmonton.

Lol, a highlight reel goal followed by a hilarious celebration, classic! If Hejduk swims into the sunset I wish him all the best, great career.

Who? Ryan Smith? Not if Kevin Lowe can help it.
