08:49 AM ET 04.27 | If Kevin Youkilis' bothersome back does not allow him to play today against Blue Jays lefty J.A. Happ, there is a very good chance he lands on the disabled list. "It's been a week now, so I think you look and see where he is [today] and then you make a decision what you are going to do and when you are going to get [him] back," manager Joe Girardi said before last night's injury-riddled 6-4 win. Youkilis came out of last Saturday's game in Toronto because of lower back tightness and has not played since. Youkilis' stint on the DL could be retroactive to Sunday. A player can't be back-dated more than 10 days.

Youk, we hardly knew ye.

More injuries, more players on the DL, it just goes on. And yet the Yankees have thus far been able to hold it together. Granted the season is way young, but I can't help but be impressed.

He should be put on the DL. Girardi decided to keep a bunch of OFs and only Nix as a back up IF. Cervelli played second base last week for a bit. He is not even an option anymore.

dump Franciso - Now....Jeesh!

Too bad about Cervelli, he was playing the best ball of his career.

QUOTE(#3):

Yanks are cursed this year, it seems.

Cursed by a management/ownership group that put an aging team of players in their 30s on the field.

Well at least ARod will be ready to take over

...in another 3 months or so.

This was only a matter of when, not if. Youk will be lucky if he can stay healthy for any 50 day period.
