08:37 AM ET 04.28 | Tyrann Mathieu should send Deion Sanders a thank you card. One of the reasons Mathieu's draft stock rebounded is Sanders was pushing him hard. It started at the combine, where Prime Time sought out team executives with the intent of selling the Honey Badger. He was going from suite to suite during workouts at Lucas Oil Field, even talking to team owners and vouching for the Badger's character.

So, do Prime Time and the Honey Badger have the same agent, too?

April 28, 2013  08:48 AM ET

Well, that's the deaf leading the blind.

DA BEARS!!

Happy with your draft?

OK, but the questions remain. AT 5'9" and 175 lbs. ( more likely less than that ), he is one small corner who can be pushed around by most receivers. Not sure he was one of the top 10 in this draft. His personal problems cannot be overlooked. Is he worth it?

175 lbs. But you knew that. The 1.75 lbs is the legal brief his lawyer carries to court for him. Guess he celebrated draft day in his own way.

Only see him as a return man. Could be wrong.

Kinda... there were a lot of needs that needed to be addressed. I knew nothing about Kyle Long before the draft, and was surprised to hear the "experts" say he was more along the lines of a project player. I was hoping Phil Emery would have used his first pick on more of an immediate impact player.

OK, but that is a high pick for just a return guy.

Agreed. For his size, he seems more likely to be a special teams player.

Cards hope I'm wrong too.

This guy's #1 asset is his press clippings. He's simply too small to play defense in the NFL. He played safety on a college team with great DL and LB play, with 2 NFL-bound shutdown corners on each side ... against mediocre SEC offenses ... so he basically got to roam around and ball hawk. He'll get plowed by NFL RB's, TE's and those big WR's.

Look, the guy is not worth it. He is not just some user, once he was arrested at his own apartment when the police found a marijuana grinder, digital scale and 10 bags of high grade marijuana.

He skipped scheduled meetings with teams BEFORE the draft.

just two days ago he gets in to with his vehicle and the police and all. He just is not worth it. If he cannot walk a strait line days before and during the draft, why do they think he will with money in his pocket?

He ain't that good of a player.

April 28, 2013  10:07 AM ET

I think he got a letter of recommendation from Charles Manson.

If you have someone going around saying how good you are, that's a red flag.

Deon is at it again.. Latching on to another perspective client. I think he wants to one day be an agent.

Well D's lawyer quit on him because he couldn't pay, now he's got to pay support for the kids and ex...have to put a positive spin on drafting Smokey. Sanders probably got paid under the table for his seal of approval.
