06:54 AM ET 04.29 | J.R Smith may well have provided the spark Boston lacked in Games 1-3. Doc Rivers knew Jason Terry was fired up and still ticked off from the [Smith] elbow on Friday night late in Game 3. That fire and determination paid huge dividends on Sunday in a 97-90 overtime, season-saving win at TD Garden. Terry drained the go-ahead three with 1:32 left in overtime, as he scored the final nine points of Game 4. Was it the elbow that Smith threw that got him fired up? "He was definitely vocal," Rivers said. "Someone said it [Saturday]; maybe that elbow --who knows? [Terry] said it changed the events for all of us. Definitely Jason Terry was angry that it happened. He let his teammates know [Saturday] and [Sunday]. But he's just a fighter."

A few more shots for Jet wouldn't be a bad thing for the C's...

I say BS. If he was pissed off then he should have been hitting more shots in the first half or in regulation time.

Fueled or not, the Celtics would have to pull off the miracle of miracles for this thread title to mean anything. No one comes back from three down to win.

Celtics in eight...

QUOTE(#9):

I thought the knicks were going to make jr pay for the fuel cost of the actual plane to go back to NY since they likely would;ve swept them had he not been such a knucklehead.

In a way this is a blessing in disguise as it will keep the team poised and focused so they can stay away from such costly dumb move. JRis a huge part of what we do. Losing him cost us a sweep but moving forward I expect him and the rest of the characters on the team to be sane which will help in the long run.

So yes Boston got a game but come Wednesday I think they will be going home to a new era of rebuilding.
