07:08 AM ET 04.29 | Suffice it to say Ryan Whitney's career in Edmonton likely isn't ending the way he'd have liked. [Whitney] was not happy about being a healthy scratch, and he did not feel it was deserved. If there was any doubt about it at the time, he removed it with fiery comments on Sunday after the Oilers season had ended. 630 CHED's Dan Tencer reported Whitney's comments: Whitney leaves very frustrated. "I'm not going to name any names, but there were definitely some other guys who could have been scratched." Whitney saying his goodbyes, talking about signing with another team, not happy with how it finished here. The two logical players that Whitney could be talking about are fellow defencemen Mark Fistric and Corey Potter.

I'm no RW fan but I wouldn't exactly call his comments "ripping" the Oilers.

Of course the idea of playing so well they wouldn't consider benching you never crossed his mind.

It is too for RW that he is not as good as he thinks he is. If he was he would of played more
