07:09 AM ET 04.29 | Perhaps the downtime, thanks to a suspension, in the midst of a hectic lockout-shortened season gave Dustin Brown time to think about things. [Brown] offered candor when we transitioned to talking about his possible contract extension. "I've been a King my whole life, my whole career, and I hope to stay here," he shared. "I still have another year left on my existing deal and I plan on at least playing that out. If we get to talking this summer, then we get to talking. If it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen." ... Drew Doughty and Jonathan Quick received big pay raises the past two summers. But, Lombardi's work is really cut out for him this summer.

One good way to get a contract extension? Lead your team to back-to-back Cups.

Unfortunately for him, Conn Smythe winner Kessel and the Leafs already have it won this year...

Ah yes, all of the other 3rd graders used to make fun of him having to do those skating drills...
His whole life....a bit of morning hyperbole I'd say?

Your red and white minions are very lucky to have avoided the powerhouse Leafs in the first round.

I'm guessing the CN Tower will be lit a very different shade of blue...B afraid, B very afraid!

Really hope they aren't afraid. Boston is an obvious favourite and for good reason, but hell anything can happen.

If Saint Randy turns Orr, Frazer and McLaren loose on Marchand, Bergeron and Seguin, the Leafs might have a chance.

Alas, I fear my $100 investment at 18-1 is in serious jeopardy.

They'd have to catch them first...

Have to say, there are few things I enjoy more than seeing Colton Orr get a hold of marchand

Brown's not leaving the kings - and it's not up to Lombardi...Dustin's the only one who got a kiss from the owner's wife at the ring ceremony. And there wouldn't have been a ring ceremony without Brown's effort.

I think he's been spending a little too much time on the diving board at the local swimming pool practicing his game.

He needs to come to the Flyers. The Kings owe us.
