04:38 PM ET 04.29 | Minnesota Wild forward Jason Pominville is likely to play against the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 1 of the Western Quarterfinal on Tuesday night. Pominville sustained an unspecified head injury when he was elbowed by Los Angeles Kings forward Dustin Brown on April 23 and was forced to miss the final two games of the regular season. While the team hasn't confirmed it, it would be difficult to imagine Pominville did not sustain a concussion. While he has yet to be officially confirmed for Game 1, Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star Tribune writes that he is "obviously returning" and reports that he skated on a line with Kyle Brodziak and Pierre-Marc Bouchard.

YAWN! It's only the Wild. It would've been a lot more interesting and competitive if it was the Blue Jackets. At least the Hawks would've known they've been through a playoff series.
