04:50 PM ET 04.29 | Stanford senior quarterback Josh Nunes is retiring because of a biceps injury suffered in January. The injury prevented him from participating in spring practice and the team had been preparing for the possibility that he might miss the 2013 season as well. Nunes was expected to serve as the backup quarterback this season after losing the starting gig a year ago. He appeared in 10 games for the Cardinal in 2012, throwing for 1,643 yards, 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

Tough break for Josh. He was a factor in getting the Trees to the Rose Bowl last year. Soccer, maybe?

Oh well, now he'll just have to apply for jobs with a degree from Stanford. He'll do alright.

LMAO...good one.

He is in good shape regardless. Hate to see the injury and retirement, but he will be ok. Lot better than some other "Student Athletes"
