06:57 AM ET 04.30 | Denard Robinson was once, for a brief time, considered a Heisman candidate QB, but now he's up for just about anything in the NFL. David Caldwell loves [Robinson]. ... The Jaguars got him in Round 5, and he will work initially at running back -- and perhaps, kickoff returns. "I've been watching that guy for as long as he's been playing," Caldwell said. "Every time I go to Michigan it just amazes me about how passionate he is about football, how loved he is at that school amongst his teammates and how he just goes about his business. You watch that guy practice and he has fun. Not only does he have juice on the field in terms of his speed and play-making ability but just juice in the building. You're going to love the kid."

Guy writes that like it's a surprise. You'd think this kind of thing hasn't happened every year for over a decade.

It's a low bar at Jaguars.com

A VERY low bar.

He won't be as passionate after player running back for a few years. He aint built for that.

I see him more as a slot receiver and a third-down situational back. I think he's got the ability and the attitude to be very successful.

Another Devin Hester... Good in college, but minimal value in the NFL.

DR had his bumps at the Big House, but he was a lot of fun to watch. He will likely have more trouble in the NFL, but will still be fun to watch on those occasions when he gets free with the ball.

Interesting player with a lot of options, might work out with proper use! I've seen worse!

This explains why the Jaguars are so good.

He'll be Big Foam Finger Guy before long.

This would be a very valuable addition in the 5th=round. That offense was starting to look promising before Blackmon went Dez Bryant. And we all know about the MJD situation.

Gabbert felt like a panic move from the beginning but Marcedes Lewis, MJD, Blackmon and Robinson for a change of pace? I thought I saw potential for a moment...

I take it from the article Denard is "juicy".

Robinson needs to pick up the phone and call Tebow. It's amazing how quickly you can find a team when you're open to playing other positions....

I wonder if the NFL will make him tie his cleats.
