07:06 AM ET 04.30 | Once a fixture in sunny Los Angeles, Phil Jackson may have the chance to live through significantly harsher winters. The Toronto Raptors, emboldened by the news that the Sacramento Kings apparently won't be moving to Seattle, have ramped up their pursuit of Phil Jackson to be their new team president, according to sources close to the situation. ... [Sources told ESPN.com that the Raptors] regarded the Seattle group that was trying to buy the Kings as the biggest threat to preventing Jackson from seriously considering their pitch. But now that the Kings appear poised to stay in Sacramento instead of being sold to the consortium led by Jackson fan Chris Hansen, sources say that the Raptors will be pursuing Jackson aggressively this week.

I hope he gets hired and he brings his new wife w/ him. We'll find out if he would be great in management also. I have no doubt that he would make a good president because of his zen ways. He is called the Zen Master for a reason. He knows how to manage people. He'll never become GM or president for the Lakers just as long as Jim Buss is a Laker owner.

QUOTE(#3):

Phil doesn't choose jobs unless they are near title material. That's his MO. That's also why his greatness is not really so great. Anyone could win with Jordan/Pippen in their primes and Shaq/Kobe in theirs.

Lol, from mind of the guy who wants Antwan Jamison in the HOF but not Phil Jackson, let's give this guy a round of applause everybody.

Phil Jackson is a fraud. Unless Lebron suddenly comes to Toronto with a couple of major all stars, only then will Phil consider. Red Auerbach was right, Phil is just a mediocre coach.

QUOTE(#8):

How is he a fraud?Did he get his rings out of a cracker jacks box?Did red win without talent? And they don't want him to coach, they want him as an executive

That's my point, people act like Red won with a bunch of D league players or something.

A bit provincial... no?

If those same Celtic players were playing today - at their same level and physical ability as before - I wonder if they would all be D-league players. That topic would open a can of worms, wouldn't it ? Of course, what would apply to the Celtics of that era would also apply to the rest of the league in that era.

Lol, a can of worms indeed.

Everyone wants Phil Jackson in some compacity. Phil really want the Lakers job but he won't get it because he presents too much of a challenge to the the owner's son.

Isiah Thomas once worked with the Raptors, right ? Maybe they can consider bringing him back. They should act soon, so that they get him before the Knicks do.

Now there's a guy you can call a fraud.

One hell of a fraud since he has every franchise wanting him. Only ones that hate PJ are fans of teams that PJ would walk over to get to a real franchise.
