06:59 AM ET 05.01 | Time may be running out on Brooklyn Nets interim coach P.J. Carlesimo, but that's not his concern -- not publicly, anyway -- for now. [Carlesimo] says he has "no clue" if he needs to advance past the first round of the playoffs to keep his job. "There's nothing we can do about that," Carlesimo said Tuesday on ESPN New York 98.7 FM's "The Michael Kay Show." "We're trying to win the series and get to Miami ... I can't control that." Carlesimo reiterated that it's not something he thinks about -- except when it's brought up to him in interviews. ... Joe Johnson has gutted through the playoffs so far despite dealing with a plantar fasciitis ailment in his left foot. "I don't think he's getting better, but Joe's gonna play," Carlesimo said.

PJ has done pretty well w/ this team. Unless there's a better coach out there than he needs to continue w/ the progress.

I said from the get go Net's don't have what it takes to beat Bulls in a seven game series. Personally I think they have overachieved by winning two games. Given the Nets team was assembled this year it's only natural they struggle in playoffs. So I expect Chicago to eliminate them. I also expect PJ to be back next season to continue the great job he's done since taking over.
Yes they can get a better coach but it'll mean starting from scratch. Constant change is no change fellas... keep a good thing going.

He shouldn't keep his job. He sucks.

Agree. He's also not getting a lot of help from Williams. In the 3OT game, Deron went 2-11 over the last part of the 4th and the OT. Given he had Nate Robinson guarding him and plenty of open looks, should have been able to do better.

Unless the name is Phil Jackson, PJ can stay right where he is. The team responded when he replaced Avery Johnson and it isn't his fault they have a lot of high paid, dead weight on the team. The coach isn't the problem, it's the supporting cast.

Unless the Nyets think they can bring Lionel Hollins in there, no point in changing coaches.

Yuup, DWill should take over sometimes but somehow he fades in the end. This is where CP3 and DWill have their biggest difference. CP3 can really carry a team. DWill relies too much on his teammates in end of games.
