04:55 PM ET 05.02 | Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby's status has not changed and no future examinations of his jaw are scheduled at this time. Crosby was not medically cleared to participate in Wednesday night's Eastern Conference Quarterfinal opener against the New York Islanders. He has missed 12 regular season games and one postseason game due to a fractured jaw sustained on March 30 during a game against the Islanders. While he has been cleared to resume practicing with the team, Crosby will require medical clearance to make sure his jaw has properly healed.

After Tavares getting shut down in game one; I suspect that game two may get chippy. Sids soft jaw doesn't need to be a part of that.

One thing i'll admit: I really wish the Leafs had come up with the whole centre-ice torching the ice thing MTL does. It's just so cool.
