07:10 AM ET 05.03 | It's only May -- even if the snow suggests otherwise -- but Nebraska already has some good news when it comes to the men's basketball program. [Nebraska] is nearly sold out of men's basketball season tickets six months in advance. ... The school announced Thursday that less than 500 season tickets remain -- 300 for the general public, and 200 for students -- in the Huskers' first season at Pinnacle Bank Arena. "At this juncture in the year, it has surprised us a little bit," Nebraska executive associate athletic director Marc Boehm said of the brisk sales. "We were hoping as the season drew closer, we'd have these type of numbers, but I think we were a little surprised this early on that the numbers were this great."

Not sure of the percentage, and no exact numbers have been released, but they have said that sales are 90% higher than last year and have easily surpassed the record of 12000.
