Irish land 'dominating' OT

07:11 AM ET 05.03 | In terms of the big fellas up front, the Irish are on a roll. In February, Notre Dame signed five highly regarded offensive linemen. On Wednesday night, Quenton Nelson became the third lineman to commit to the group currently being assembled. Considering the quantity and quality ND has added over the last two cycles, Tom Lemming's assessment of Nelson could be telling. "He's a dominating guy," Lemming, a recruiting analyst for CBS Sports Network, said. "He may be the best of the bunch." The 6-foot-5, 295-pound Nelson joins Jimmy Byrne and Sam Mustipher as offensive linemen that have committed to ND in the current cycle and are expected to sign with the Irish in February.

At 6-5, this kid will have to really bend down to get into position to sniff Kelly's aftershave like the kid in the pic is doing.

Seantrel Henderson was "dominating" too ... right up until the time he lined up in D1.

Give Brian Kelly credit. He realizes that to compete in a NC game ND has to become more like a SEC team and dominate in the trenches. He needs to schedule SEC teams so he will have a better yardstick to measure his teams performance with. Playing the schedule they had last year, his yardstick ended up about 2 feet short.

Should he oversign and pay players too?

With Urban Meyer now in the B1G, I expect a new crop of mid-west bagmen to sprout, and ND will likely get in on that if they're smart.

Hell yeah. Catholic Church has a lot of money.

Any time a blue chipper says "no" to Alabama and "yes to ND it's a good day...!

ND's 2012 OL was dominating until they played Alabama.

We have plenty of blue chips that say no to us, and we just keep on winning. I'd daresay we won't miss Mr. Nelson.

Disagree Joe. Their offense didn't dominate any opponent. They relied on their defense if I remember correctly.

But, their defense took a whooping when your guys showed up.
