02:18 PM ET 05.03 | Montreal Canadiens forward Lars Eller has returned home after spending the night in Montreal General Hospital. Eller was hospitalized after being hit by Ottawa Senators defenseman Eric Gryba in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals on Thursday night. Eller was knocked unconscious on the play. The NHL Department of Player Safety has requested a phone hearing with Gryba on Friday afternoon. With the two teams scheduled to meet on Friday night, it seems likely the NHL will rule on the situation prior to opening puck drop.

They're rushing him from the hospital to get ready for Game 2 even as we speak. He doesn't remember what happened anyway. ;-)

I got a feeling he had the wind knocked out of him, and he fell badly, but not worth 2 games to Gryba.
