02:41 PM ET 05.03 | The first round series between the Montreal Canadiens and Ottawa Senators is being to heat up. In the wake of the unfortunate injury to Lars Eller, the war of words is picking up between the two clubs. Ottawa head coach Paul MacLean defended his Eric Gryba who was the player that hit Eller. MacLean stated Raphael Diaz -- the Montreal player who sent the pass to Eller -- should have been more careful. Canadiens head coach Michel Therrien didn't think MacLean's comments were appropriate, stating they disrespected Eller and his family. Forward Brandon Prust took it a step further by saying he didn't care about MacLean's opinion and called the coach a "bug-eyed fat walrus."

Felt so good about it I'm putting it in here too:

One coach is just talking about coaching and the other is talking about the poor taste of his opposite. One coach has a lead, and the other has a team sending suicide passes, pretty much letting Karlsson skate coast to coast, bowling over their own goaltender instead of keeping opposing players from the crease, and blabbing childish insults at the opposing coach to the media. Hmm, wonder where the coaching edge lies in this series.

I remember a famous bench incident from Bobby Clarke.

Camera on him he hollered out to the ref Bill Friday:

Hey Friday, you futzing "bundle of sticks"....

May 3, 2013  05:00 PM ET

And the infamous Gilles Lupien incident after he and Wensik had tussled at the same time Bouchard was getting dismantled by Stan Jonathan.

With camera right on him he erupts, "Hey Wensik!! Hey Wensik!!! Futz you Wensik!!" with his gap toothed yap....
