08:03 PM ET 05.03 | Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen is entering the final year of his contract, with no reported contract negotiations on a possible extension. Allen's not concerned out it. "I'm a Viking this year, I'm gonna go out play my heart out and try to win a Super Bowl,"Allen said on Sirius XM NFL Radio Wednesday night. "I always look at chips fall where they may. My motto is if I take care of my job on the field the rest will take care of itself." Allen, 31, had a drop in production last season while playing with injuries. He had a pair of surgeries on the same day earlier this offseason. Even with the down year last season, he posted double-digit sacks for the seventh time in the last eight years.

His 6 year contract with the Vikings paid him $73M. He will make $14M in 2013. He's okay without an extension.

Somebody's going to pay this guy if it's not the Vikings.

"I'm a Viking this year, I'm gonna go out play my heart out and try to win a Super Bowl,"

And at the end of the season let's see how many people are ripping the Vikings if they let him get away.

He will be 32 next year. I would rip them more if they locked on to him with big bucks and years. He is a more complete player than Osi, but ask him what the market was for aging DEs.

he could always end up with the Seahawks

Would fit perfectly on the Packers.

Ya the Vikes will probably get a one pick

A down year for Allen is typically a good year for some other defensive player elsewhere
