11:43 AM ET 05.04 | New Dallas Stars general manager Jim Nill joined the Fitzsimmons & Durrett Show on ESPN Radio 103.3 FM on Wednesday. Here are some highlights from the interview. On if the NHL is ready for a gay player: "I don't know if we're ready for it, but the world is different now and I guess it's not for us to judge. People, they have their freewill, they're going to do what they want, we can't judge that and we just have to accept that and love them for what they are."

How about pretty and witty too?

The fact that the league hs been unning comercials touting their Gay friendly Policy says to me that there are Gay Players ready to come out. Bettman does nothing just because it is the right thing to do.

Mr. Nill can tap dance.

Trust me - ESPN Dallas isn't the bastion of hockey knowledge.

Those of us down here are acutely aware where to get our hockey fix. It ain't there.

Would have loved it if Nill said, "I don't know, is broadcasting ready for a gay announcer"!!

LMAO. I agree. To say this whole thing is overblown is an understatement. What jason Collins sexual orientation happens to be is nobody's business but his. It's funny though.............he's been just another guy who is "one of all the others", a permanent second stringer and he's now approaching the end of his career. Nothing wrong with that either, happens to everybody. If he get's cut next season though it won't be because his career is over, it'll be because management is bigoted against gays.

Almost ran off the road yesterday when a sports radio show host said "Tim Tebow should come out as gay". Goodell would make the Giants taken him on as their starter." Some truth to that.

Hilarious, the perfect comeback.

We now return you to NHL playoff hockey already in progress. I hope!

For him, all about the money he will make by coming out. Plain and simple.
