12:50 PM ET 05.04 | Arizona Athletic Director Greg Byrne and members of the Wildcats coaching staff, including basketball coach Sean Miller and football coach Rich Rodriguez, were at Chase Field Thursday evening meeting with fans, alumni and media as part of an annual Road Tour. While addressing several topics, Byrne briefly mentioned a facelift for McKale Center, which opened in 1973. We asked him for some details. "We got Board-of-Regents approval to hire and architect, and we should have the architect announced here quickly," he said. "The building is 40 years old. We have locker room issues we have to address for a lot of our sports. We need a working academic center, improved seating, concessions, restrooms. And we will have a new video board in there, too. We like video boards."
