Rose could return if Bulls play Heat

04:56 PM ET 05.04 | If the Chicago Bulls are able to win Games 6 and 7 to eliminate the Brooklyn Nets in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals, Derrick Rose could finally make his long-awaited return against the Miami Heat in the semifinals. Rose, who has not played since tearing his ACL in the first game of last year's playoffs, has been the subject of media scrutiny as he's ruled himself incapable of playing at a high level due to a loss of muscle memory in his knee. He has been able to practice, though, and he did not rule out returning against the Heat. Even with Rose suggesting he may play if the Bulls reach the next round, the roster has been depleted by injuries in recent weeks and the odds of them winning on the road in Brooklyn tonight seem slim.

Again wishful thinking. Rose isn't coming back this season. Rose is coming back next season. Let's find a new story to talk about.

Did you hear that Lebron James going to return to the Cavs in 2014. Well that's what Cleveland fans keep saying. And how wrong can they be?

Rose is not playing in any of the playoffs this year.

May 4, 2013  05:37 PM ET

Drose, please come back. With no Rondo, no Kobe, and no Westbrook, the playoffs this year just aren't that exciting. Denver vs Golden State was a great and fun series to watch, and Clippers vs Grizz wasn't bad either, but it gets boring watching Miami roll over the likes of Milwaukee. The outcome is just too predictable. I'd like to see a team at least push Miami a little bit, and without Rose Chicago just doesn't have enough, despite their heart and effort.

'the odds of them winning back-to-back games against Brooklyn seem slim.'

The odds are slim of above mentioned back-to-back wins in games 6 and 7 because if the Bulls would have won game 6 there would be no game 7. Nice fact checking on this article by the reputable SB Nation.

50 million Frenchmen can't be wrong, but half a million Clevelanders can be.
