05:27 PM ET 05.04 | Knicks forward Amar'e Stoudemire did not play in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals against the Celtics and has not appeared in a game since March 7. While the coaching staff has already ruled him out for the first two games against the Pacers in the conference semifinals, word came on Saturday that Stoudemire could return for Game 3 if his knee is up to it. Amar'e averaged just 23 minutes a game during the regular season and it is unclear just how effective he would be if he does play against Indiana, although the Knicks could really benefit from adding yet another scoring option against one of the league's top defensive teams.

Knicks play better without him. At this point he is best used as an offensive spark off the bench, but he doesn't do too much else.

Oh...Oh.... Amare!!!

I applaud Amare for trying so hard to come back and help his teammates, unlike a prima dona in Chicago.

The guy is a loser. Keep him on the bench.

I would amnesty the guy. He used to be an offensive juggernaut. Now he is a mere shadow of himself with bad knees. Never has played defensive. one of the most overpaid players in the league. Maybe #1 at being overpaid.

Amare didn't tear his knee ligaments. He is just useless. Started with him hitting the glass in the playoffs last year.

Can't. NY used it already.
