09:11 AM ET 05.05 | Former Warren standout Darius Paul announced via Twitter late Saturday night that he will transfer to Illinois from Western Michigan. Paul is the younger brother of former Illini Brandon Paul, who just finished his senior season. Under NCAA rules, Darius will have to sit out a year. "It is a privilege to be put in this situation ... " Darius Paul said in a tweet, "will be wearing orange & blue for the rest of my college career." Paul, a 6-foot-8, 220-pound freshman forward who was named Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year, started 33 games last season and averaged 10.4 points and 5.7 rebounds in 24.8 minutes per game for the 22-13 Broncos. He had a career-high 28 points and 12 rebounds Feb. 27 against Toledo.
