06:56 AM ET 05.06 | At long last for Patriots fans, some good news for star tight end Rob Gronkowski. Patriots owner Robert Kraft remained hopeful [Sunday] the worst-case scenario would not play out for [Gronkowski], who is in a holding pattern with respect to a decision regarding a potential fourth surgery on his fractured left forearm. Kraft [Sunday] sought an update on Gronkowski, who has been taking part in the team's offseason program, and received what he perceived as positive news. "Everything I've heard is good," said Kraft, who was at the Putnam East Club [Sunday], helping judge the fifth annual Science of Sports science fair. ... "I asked about it this morning and everything is good. He's working hard."

You can't mangle your forearm and then keep re-injuring it and expect it to come back right. He's going to be lucky if he can play at all this year and if he plays before it's 100% and injures it again he is done, no question.

Not to mention, he can't work out. Even if it heals in time for the season, he will have lifted no weights.

Yep, the guy really needs to sit out an entire year to let it actually heal completely and then be able to lift and get stronger.

I wouldn't breath a sigh of relief until I could see him on the practice field come July/August.

He's probably gonna get injured in the preseason. Get the surgery man.
