Time for Rose to shut it all down

07:04 AM ET 05.06 | At once the moments that followed Chicago's first-round win over the Nets had both everything and nothing to do with Derrick Rose. Hours before the Bulls propelled themselves into a second-round matchup with the Heat with emotion and intangibles, Rose yet again coyly left open the possibility of returning in the playoffs. In the next breath, Rose claimed to be oblivious to mounting criticism of his decision not to play, suggesting he is either out of touch or excuses. And Rose used to have such keen instincts and awareness. He's fooling nobody. End the charade. That's how Rose can contribute to the Heat series: officially shutting it down. That's what a team leader owes his teammates.

They beat the Nets, not the Heat or Thunder.

The Bulls would DESTROY the Thunder right now.

We're 2-2 vs the Heat this year WITHOUT Rose. We could beat them in a fair fight.....without the MVP of the LEAGUE getting help from the refs.

Now you know why getting DRose would probably not help the team but could be detrimental instead. DRose can break the continuity of the team if he comes back.

Rose needs to play. If everyone else on that team plays hurt, then so should he. Besides I thought he is medically cleared.

The regular season is just that the regular season. Playoffs are a different beast. I respect the Bulls for their grit and never say die attitude (I cant believe I just said something nice about the bulls...shame) but that can only take you so far. Besides your already coming up with excuses with the ref talk.

Good Lord, this **** is never gonna go away.

Obviously, you didn't watch the Miami-Bulls game when their streak was ended. How much Lebron complained about our physical play to the refs. You think the refs won't be paying extra attention to our style of play tonight?

Please........I respect LBJ as the best player in the league but he is a queen at times.

Indeed.

Not until your heroes are done, Chitown... at which point the "it's all Rose's fault" threads will commence.

Obviously you did not understand what I said. Regular season means nothing. You name me a superstar player who does not whine about calls? It has happened with everyone. MJ whined about calls all the time until they changed the rules for him. No Bulls fan will ever get to cry about foul calls after the way MJ got phantom calls for years. The Bulls played a hell of a game to end the streak but good luck playing that way every game in a seven game series against the Heat. Like I said i respect the Bulls players and Im actually beginning to become a Noah fan again cause dude is a warrior. Good luck.

Lol, I know, "They totally would've won if Rose was there!"

Iman Shumpert and Derrick Rose tore their ACL's on the same day last year and Iman has been playing since January. Any real competitor would be dying to get out there and do all they could to help their team in the playoffs. Kobe tried to play with no achillies. come on D-Rose. Man up

Bulls fan: I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there's nothing to be accomplished by Rose coming back now. He should have been back long before now. At this point, it may even hurt more than help. The "emotional lift" he would provide for his teammates won't help. The Bulls are going to lose this series with or without Derrick Rose. It won't even be close. Heat in 5. (maybe 6)

Too Much Drama, Bro.

We already know that.
