Texans 'a little concerned' by Ed Reed's hip

05:05 PM ET 05.06 | One of the media rules of the offseason: Every surgery is reported to be "minor" and every injured player reportedly will be ready for the start of training camp. Following Houston Texans safety Ed Reed's recent hip surgery, we got the "minor" and "will be ready for camp" routine. This ignored the fact that Reed turns 35 in September and he had surgery on his hip. It's always minor when it's someone else. A few days after the news first broke, the Texans already are sounding more realistic. Owner Bob McNair admitted Monday that Reed might not be ready until "the middle" of training camp, according to Nick Scurfield of HoustonTexans.com.

He missed 6 games in 2010 because of a hip injury that needed surgery. Yeah, I'd be a bit concerned Houston.
