Hawks coaching staff prepares to be let go

06:03 PM ET 05.06 | Atlanta Hawks head coach Larry Drew and other members of his coaching staff have reportedly begun seeking out new job opportunities in anticipation of being let go. The news comes after a third straight playoff appearance under Drew that ended in the first two rounds. After retooling the Hawks' roster last offseason by dealing away longtime players Joe Johnson and Marvin Williams, GM Danny Ferry will likely continue the substantial changes this offseason as he wields significant cap space. It appears those changes could begin with the coaching staff, which has done little to push the franchise to a new level since being brought in three years ago. Drew compiled a 128-102 record in his three seasons at the helm in Atlanta, but the team won just one playoff series under his watch.

You go Danny!!! To even use the term "Head coach" for Larry Drew is an abomination. More like a headless coach.
Bring in a REAL coach please. Also can't wait to see Smith's $ come off the books. I won't even extend an offer let alone near-max that he seeks. Start clean. Bring in a center, and move Al to PF.
Extend a carrot to Paul and Howard, see if they bite.

aw....they're the Hawks, does anyone really care? This would be a great place for George Karl if he were available which he isn't. Maybe PJ Carlisimo, he actually did a great job with the Nets this year after taking over mid-season. How about Doug Collins? Maybe Shaq, just for laughs? Really, no one really cares.....
