07:02 AM ET 05.07 | The big news stemmed from Chicago's Game 1 win over the Heat, but center Joakim Noah managed to slip in a message for critics of teammate Derrick Rose. Noah took a question regarding how much pride he and his team feel being able to win without Rose while so many pundits count them out, and he went off on an emotional defense of his close friend. "Derrick's a brother," Noah said. "And to see him go through this is tough, but at the end of the day it's really funny how quick people are to judge. But people don't know what it's like to lead a team, especially after you tore your ACL. ... [Everybody] who hasn't been in that situation before should really shut up because I feel like it's just so unfair to him and to this team."

Another day, Another Rose thread, big ups to the Bulls win and Noah backing his teammate.

Woke up to the news and all of a sudden my world is a better place. Thank you Noah and the Bulls. I don't waste my time watching anything with Lebron and Miami cos the officiating gets rigged for them. I'm done funding the NBA with everything Lebron. Keep up the good work Noah. Stay focused! Let Rose deal with Rose things.

I'm sooooooooooooooooo glad Noah came out and said this. Now maybe everyone on here who have Chris Broussard-like sources inside the Bulls locker room who have been saying how much Rose's teammates hate him and have lost respect for him will finally shut up.

Great win for the Bulls. One game does not a series make, though. The Heat will have their hands full the entire series, but will still prevail in 5-6 games.

No worries...

Nate Robinson - Devourer of Worlds

Man I was so upset when they picked him up at the beginning of the year. Him and Belinelli were great finds, and drafting Butler helps too.

I still have a feeling that his over-exposure could be a problem... but the Devourer of Worlds (read that on Twitter this morning - too damn funny not to use) is making your heroes fun to watch.

Belinelli has been an big asset. Thibs has them playing hard every single minute. Heat have their hands full.

I got so many laughs on my FB page by friends for the Nate and Belinelli pickups, but they're eating crow now! WE'RE UP 1-0!!!

*cue the Jaws' music.....DUN DUN DUN DUN*

Diehard haters will not quit on this matter. The Bulls beating the Nets and now beating the Heat in their home court just proved that the Bulls are fine w/ DRose sitting out. Haters won't understand that DRose coming back even for just 1 minute can mess up the continuity of the team.

I was ready to name Mitch K. executive of the year for the Howard and Nash pick ups and throw Paxson to the curb for blowing up the Bench Mob.... I guess this is why they play the games.

many a time did Lebron take it to the hole, come up short, and throw his hands up looking for a call.
They even mentioned that on Mike and Mike this morning.

They always do that, freaking annoying to watch.

I didn't stay up to watch, but I heard SA had to come back and take it to double OT to dispatch the Warriors last night.

Thunder's Derek Fisher fined for flop during playoffs

man why couldn't this be a T/R thread yesterday??

May 7, 2013  09:00 AM ET

There is a lot wrong with the scenario in Chicago. Rose has been a scaredy cat nervous Nellie about coming back, and the Bulls organization has completely mismanaged the PR part of it.

Lol, because he's been doing that for quite some time.

QUOTE(#16):

these boys are playing there arses off.

Those three guys alone - Butler, Robinson and Belinelli - combined for 58 points, 24 rebounds and 13 assists against Miami in Game 1.

Those three combined make $4.2 million this season.

Miami's Mike Miller, who dropped in for six minutes to score five points with three rebounds, is making $5.8 million.

This made me chuckle a little bit
