McDonald's days numbered in St. Louis

07:18 AM ET 05.07 | So far this playoff season, soon-to-be UFA forward Andy McDonald has yet to record a point in four games against the Kings, and the clock may be ticking on his lengthy tenure. I don't see the St. Louis Blues having enough money to sign [McDonald]. Wonder if the Anaheim Ducks, who dealt McDonald to the Blues for Doug Weight in 2007, would bring him back as a No. 2 centre? McDonald, with his $4.2 million salary this year, turns 36 in August, but he still has wheels. The Blues, who never spend anywhere near the cap ceiling, have to re-up Alex Pietrangelo, Chris Stewart, Kevin Shattenkirk and Patrik Berglund, who are all restricted free agents.

Best series of the playoffs so far. A shame one Team will be out in the first round.

Not sure why McDonald isn't getting it done. Injuries, age, and all the combo's of lines for the Blues? Agree he probably won't be back unless he takes a pay cut....hate to lose the speed.
