Tiger Woods: I would never phone in a violation

06:05 PM ET 05.08 | Tiger Woods didn't win another Green Jacket at the Masters this year, but he didn't come away without making headlines. Before the weekend could even start, there was drama surrounding Woods and a controversial ball drop that threatened to see him disqualified but ended up only costing him a few strokes. Jokes were made about the ex of Woods' new Lindsey Vonn reporting Woods to USGA officials as it was revealed that a caller watching at home or from a monitor somewhere called in and assisted officials in pointing out the violation on the part of Woods. While it's a bizarre moment, Woods took a time to give a variation of the snitches get stitches slogan, saying he'd never call in and report a golfer for a violation he saw, whether it be at home on the TV, live on the course or in a different sport.

Saw some funny pics of him on the news from that fancy fashion ball, he went to with his model girlfriend.I hear he got drunk and was embarrassin her with stumblin, makin goofy faces, grabbin her butt in front of the cameras and all the bigwigs that were there. He can make some real good cartoon faces.Good to know he draws the line at not phonin in a violation. He would probably tweet it instead.

Amazing isn't it ? He got a nice big cheque for playing Sunday instead of getting disqualified , and he still has to comment.

I personally would never call in a rules violation that I saw on tv. If I were a playing partner I would definitely do it if I believed it could sway the outcome of the tourney. That is just my personal opinion.

P.S Go Rory GO!

I read that a pro golfer named David Eger was the one who called in the violation. And he did it not to be spiteful, but to prevent him from getting disqualified by signing an incorrect scorecard.

So it wasn't just some yahoo on the couch (this time anyway).

Tiger quoted as saying.. ''He'd never call in and report a golfer for a violation he saw, whether it be at home on the TV, live on the course or in a different sport.''

1st off.. don't think there is another sport other than golf where you can 'call in' to report a violation of a rule.. and of course Tiger wouldn't say 'anything' while on the golf course.. hoping officials will catch it and DQ his competitor..
2nd.. Tiger 'himself' wouldn't call in.. he'd get Lindsay to do it for him
