07:00 AM ET 05.09 | When it comes to Chris Paul, Clippers teammate Matt Barnes had what might qualify as excellent news for the franchise's fans. [If] he were a betting man, he would wager that Paul would be back with the Clippers, and he hopes the same for himself. "Chris and I have seen each other a few times after the season and that's something we've discussed," Barnes told the Mason & Ireland Show on ESPNLA 710 on Wednesday. "Not to really get into his business too much, but I think the Clippers are one of his of top teams to say the least and if I was betting guy I would say he would be back with the Clippers next year." Paul helped recruit Barnes to the Clippers before this season.

Lol.....there are 100 million + reasons for him to resign

But will Vinny still be around...?

i wonder if firing Vinny first will help Paul's decision to stay. if so, do it now, what are they waiting for...

He Wants To Retire Ringless, Bro?

May 9, 2013  09:51 AM ET

loses 30 million if he doesn't. Either Blake or deandre have to go. I would move Blake. He sells tickets but he wont help them win a ring

The bottom line is, the Clipps can't afford to let CP walk!!!!

Paul will stay mainly because he has no better options via FA. He would have to team up with Dwight for a shot at a title perhaps in Dallas. Otherwise he is waiting for Blake to take his game to another level or DeAndre to be a factor.

I would not resign with Blake there. I'd like someone more dependable who doesn't get injured when it counts although cp is fragile as well. For the organization, cp brings the whiney and grabs the offensive players all the time and get away with it. No wonder he leads the lead in steals. He got what he deserved in the playoffs...an outster and outplayed by Connelly.

That would be deliciously evil of him.....and would make for must see television.

Agreed. So just keep him in the Staples center and let him play for the Lakers.

That would work, if Sterns would allow it!!!! :-)

Best investment they could make would be a free throw shooting coach.

Kobe turned Nash into a shooter, I can see the same thing happen to CP3. Kobe doesn't mix well with All-Star PGs.
