Ex-Arkansas QB mulls five schools, Wolfpack leading?

07:11 AM ET 05.09 | Where, oh where, will former Arkansas quarterback Brandon Mitchell wind up? Among the schools [Mitchell] is considering transferring to are South Florida, NC State, UAB, Louisiana Tech and Northwestern State, according to a person close to the player. Mitchell plans to visit the Wolfpack this weekend, a source said. A senior, Mitchell is on track to graduate and be eligible to play this season. He competed with sophomore Brandon Allen throughout the spring at Arkansas but was listed as second team. The 6-foot-4, 239-pound Mitchell has played some wide receiver but wants to focus on quarterback. He has a close relationship with UAB coach Garrick McGee, who was an assistant at Arkansas.
