New linemates for Crosby

07:16 AM ET 05.09 | Of course, the headline comes from Dan Bylsma benching Marc-Andre Fleury in favor of Tomas Vokoun, but Pittsburgh's too-close-for-comfort series isn't all about goaltending. It might take other personnel moves. It won't be surprising if Bylsma puts [Jarome Iginla] at right wing on a line with Sidney Crosby and Pascal Dupuis and moves Chris Kunitz to the line with [Evgeni Malkin] and right winger James Neal. That would allow Iginla and Neal to play on their preferred right side. It also might be time to bring back Tyler Kennedy and sit Tanner Glass, who played just 5:26, 8:08 and 4:55 in the past three games. It might even be time to put Kennedy back on the third line with Cooke and Sutter and drop Brenden Morrow to the fourth line.

all of this is sounding a tad desperate....they first need to wake up, or playing whomever wherever won't matter

After all of the success the Malkin-Neal-Kunitz line had last year it boggles my mind why Bylsma is so slow to go back to it this year. Didn't they reunite for Neal's first game back after a concussion? You know where Neal had a hat trick?? Iginla & Crosby will be fine together. Bylsma has to start thinking about his own career and make whatever changes necessary.....

instead of new linemates, he needs a goalie and a coach

More risky to keep playing a gumper who couldn't stop anything...

It will be interesting to see what the switch does, and I don't mean just to the netminding. There just seems to be something missing from their overall play

Danny

You have said all year that Celine was a pylon and needed to be horsewhipped out of town.

You are so right, Last night was the icing on the cake.

Yeah but on the other hand Geno needs to step up and be a superstar and elevate the players around him the way Sid does. Geno's struggles in this series are largely his own doing.
Pens need to make a statement tonight and take back control of this series.

Cause Bylsma sucks. And if they lose this series, it lies on him.

Of course, he should have had the Neal-Kunitz-Malkin line from the get-go, and had Iggy playing his natural position, but no....

I think Vokoun comes up big tonight and the Pens take the series in six games.

I was surprised at that too. Malkin-Neal-Kunitz played great together whereas Crosby-Dupuis-Kunitz were only so so. I'd like to see Crosby, Jokinnen and Dupuis on a line together. And, like Spiny said, they need to wake up and take this seriously or nothing is going to matter.

LMAO - remember a few seasons back when you used to argue with me about PrimaDione ? What a brutal playoffs this meathead is having. He is a multi millionaire for laying one good hit per game and screwing up for most of the rest of it. That has never changed.
