01:11 PM ET 05.09 | The NHL Players' Association has nominated Alex Ovechkin, Martin St. Louis and Sidney Crosby as the three finalists for the Ted Lindsay Award. The honor is given to the player voted most outstanding by the NHLPA. In 36 games played, Crosby recorded 15 goals and 41 assists for a total of 56 points. His assist total was second best in the league. All this was accomplished despite not playing a game in March. Ovechkin finished the year tied with Crosby for overall points. He scored a league leading 32 goals and added 24 assists. St. Louis finished the year as the league's leading scorer, which earned him the Art Ross Trophy. The 37-year-old is the oldest player to ever win the award. Collecting 60 points in 48 games, St. Louis also led the league in assists with 43.
