03:10 PM ET 05.09 | Amar'e Stoudemire has slowly worked his way back into scrimmages, and according to Mike Woodson, could be ready for up to 15 minutes of playing time in Saturday's Game 3 between the Knicks and the Pacers.

Stoudemire began the year with minor knee surgery, keeping him out through the New Year. Then, he needed the same surgery on his other knee, and hasn't played since March 7. It's well past the six weeks initially listed as his recovery time, but he's finally getting back into playing shape, participating in four-on-four full-contact scrimmages Thursday with the intent to go full-scale Friday before suiting up for Game 3.

His return could cause rotational issues for Mike Woodson, whose team has been most successful with Carmelo Anthony playing power forward and one big, either Tyson Chandler or Kenyon Martin. The return of Stoudemire would likely lead to two-big sets.

And it can now also cause rotational issues for the Pacers front line as the Knicks are finally getting a legit post threat in the mix - Bring it on Stat - Time to make up for the this injury plagued year....

He would help them tremendously.

The second unit sure could use him so that every play isn't a JR isolation.

They also need another big body against those Pacer bigs.

Try watching the games. Most people on here think he would help them. He gives them a big body to throw at Hibbert and West since Melo is really a SF & Chandler clearly isn't 100%.
