Browns debated draft blockbuster

06:59 AM ET 05.10 | Barkevious Mingo may well turn out to be an outstanding pro for the Browns, but his winding up in Cleveland was no guarantee with the sixth pick. [The Browns wanted to] swap the no. 6 pick for a later selection in the first round and another selection in the second. At 2:30 [on draft day], such a deal is already in place. The St. Louis Rams are willing to surrender the 16th overall pick and their second-round selection (plus a throw-in seventh-rounder) to move up to no. 6. However, the agreement has caveats. The Browns will agree to the deal only if Mingo is no longer available at no. 6, and the Rams will make the swap only if the specific guy they want (dynamic West Virginia WR Tavon Austin) is still there at no. 6.

So, like, why does anyone care about this, other than that just-gotta-love-it name Barkevious Mingo?

Root words, get it? BARKevious, DOG Pound.
They simply had to draft him, it is not like the Browns don't have a plan come draft day.

For every TD scored at home the fans get a $.05 per gallon rebate on gas used driving to the game. Payable in the playoffs.

It can only be used at the truck stops Haslam has, or most likely, will have had once upon a time since it is all dependent upon the Browns making the playoffs.

Except all cars will be electric and solar when that happens. Hey, another scam...Jeesh!

The catch is "Payable in the Play-offs"........The fans will never be able to collect on those terms.

It's the hairy, sweaty palms that make those pesky footballs so hard to hang on to.

This is a story that COULD have been interesting going into the draft. At this point who cares??

Well, master something!

Given that the Browns standards are currently in the dumpster, I am unimpressed. And yes, Barkevious is a fine Irish name...........or something!

Barkevious is as good as two guys? I doubt it. Another fine draft debacle by the Brownies.
