07:22 AM ET 05.10 | What a difference a year makes in the case of Hokies quarterback Logan Thomas. [Thomas] was considered a potential high first-round NFL Draft selection entering the 2012 season. But the Hokies suffered through a miserable campaign last year, and Thomas was the focus of much of the criticism. ... With new offensive coordinator Scot Loeffler now in Blacksburg, Thomas has undergone a transformation, from his mechanics to his mindset. However, Virginia Tech fans did not see improvement, particularly when it came to accuracy, during the team's recent spring game. Thomas tossed three interceptions in the contest despite all of the rumblings in Blacksburg that Thomas was evolving into a more consistent signal-caller.

Coached 'em down huh? Hate to admit it, but I've did such back in my HS coaching days. Took a 22 point per game basketball player and coached 'em all the way down to 14 points per game the next year. Damn good job I did.

I wouldn't put too much in the spring game results. Based upon watching the Bama spring games a few years back, you'd think the best QBs were Star Jackson and Phillip Simms. Both of those QBs later transferred out after real-game performance showed otherwise.

And we all know where Loeffler was last year -- Auburn. He did one hell of a job with Auburn's QBs. Loeffler will not do anything to improve things in Blacksburg. I feel sorry for the Hokies. Their offense has to face Alabama in their opener.

And if I'm not mistaken, Loeffler was at UF and worked with Brantley.

Thomas is as Thomas does.

Don't you have to get somewhere before you can regress? I've always thought of Thomas as being medicore at best.

Tebow's last year at UF and fixed that throwing motion. Brantley was so ready to play QB in the SEC. Loeffler did a great job at UF. Just like he did at Auburn last year.

Yet another QB who should be playing TE.
