OU QB Kendal Thompson arrested

12:26 PM ET 05.10 | Oklahoma redshirt sophomore quarterback Kendal Thompson was arrested early Friday morning and charged with public intoxication and interfering with a police officer. It is impossible to know what type of punishment Thompson would face from a team standpoint. Based on previous incidents of a similar nature, Thompson may not be subject to a suspension which would force him to miss any game time. But at a minimum it's not a good look for a guy who is (was?) competing for the starting quarterback job with Blake Bell (and to a somewhat lesser extent, Trevor Knight).

Didn't hurt Manziel

Stoops better worry about his own players and not the perceived strength of the SEC.

Very true. I'd worry about a kid that DIDN'T get into some crap while in college. Supposed to have some fun...but gotta be a little wiser.

Where I think he crossed the line was the "interfering with a police officer" portion. But when you are intoxicated, you aren't necessarily rational.

Reminds me of the line from Ron White when he was thrown out of the bar and the police came by. He said, "I had the right to remain silent but I didn't have the ability."

I have a sneaky suspicion that is the voice of experience making that statement.

Kids are gonna be kids, the question should be is he of legal age, not OU potential starting QB. Put things in perspective, if he's not legal the school should cut his scholarship and send him back to Podunk, America where he came from. They should get an education 1st, sports second.
